Privacy Policy — browser extensions
Last updated: 12 June 2026. Applies to calendana's browser extensions (Chrome & Firefox), including the “Name Day” / “Γιορτή σήμερα” / “Imieniny” / “Namnsdag” new-tab extension.
What the extension does
It replaces your new tab page with the name day(s) celebrated today and on the coming days, for Greek (εορτολόγιο), Polish (imieniny) and Swedish (namnsdag) naming traditions. The name-day data is bundled inside the extension and read locally — no network request is needed to display it.
Data stored on your device
- Language preference (Greek / Polish / Swedish): saved locally through the browser extension storage API so the new tab opens in the tradition you chose. It stays on your device and is never transmitted.
Data we collect or transmit
None. The extension contains no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, no cookies, and makes no network requests of its own. We receive nothing.
Links to calendana.com
The extension contains links you can choose to click (for example, “open the full calendar”). Following a link opens calendana.com in your browser as a normal visit. Those links carry a utm_source parameter so that, if you choose to visit, our website analytics can attribute the visit to the extension. This happens only when you click, is standard web link attribution, and involves no data stored or sent by the extension itself. Use of calendana.com is governed by the website's own terms.
Permissions
storage— used solely to remember your language preference, as described above.
Children
The extension is suitable for general audiences and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.
